Modern design meets explosive speed - We unbox and review Nike Football's brand new CR7 Savage Beauty Mercurial Superfly boots.
Set to be headlined by Cristiano Ronaldo in the coming La Liga and Champions League matches, the all new Savage Beauty CR7 silos are somewhat modern as they feature a super unique lava pattern on the upper of the boots inspired by Ronaldo’s hometown of Madeira.
Ronaldo has a likening for black football boots and Nike have responded by adding yet another black football boot to their Superfly collection which has already seen over three black colourways since it’s launch in mid-2014.
Design wise we are looking at a never seen before pattern by Nike as they have slapped on a lava-inspired print on the forefoot and midfoot for a modern look while classic black covers the entire boot including the Dynamic Fit Collar, FlyKnit and sole. The boot takes cues from Madeira’s several volcanic mountains on the island.
“Madeira will always be close to my heart, I’m so happy to represent my island all over the world. It’s a fantastic feeling”, Ronaldo said.
This new design reminds us of the super popular Galaxy Vapor IX boots Nike launched for Ronaldo back in October 2013. CR7 Superfly IV launches include the Gala, Rare Gold and Silverware editions.
Tech Specs wise we know Cristiano prefers a lower Dynamic Fit Collar but in terms of the rest, the same standard FlyKnit, NikeSkin, ACC and carbon-fibre sole seen on the standard Superfly is used for a boot which is lightweight, explosive and responsive.
