It's all about reusing & recycling the books that you already have! Although we are spray painting the cover, the content & pages on the inside are still readable & usable!!!
Here are some tips 1.Use books that are old & laying around at ur home 2. go to a yardsale or garage sale where u can find books for less than a dollar! I got mine for 50 cents! 3. U can also use FAUX books like I did with the HUGE black treasure Island "book"..its actually a box where u can store things! REMEMBER- its all about recycling & reusing what u already have! I wanted the decor of the wedding be inspired by 2 things- Vintage pieces from the past and Love stories. And since I love all things GOLD.... my planner & florist came up with a brilliant idea! Spray painting old books in gold!!! In this episode my florist Shawna Yamomoto and I show you guys how to DIY & transform old books that you already have in your home to vintage inspired peices of art!! We will be using these golden books as one of the main decor elements of the wedding, but they are also great accent pieces to have in your home!!! I'll surely be taking all of these golden books home with me once the wedding is done! ENJOY!!!
