Here are my first impressions and short gameplay analysis of Mario Kart Grand Prix VR. This arcade title can only be played at the VR-Zone in Tokyo, Japan and let's you drive in first-person while sitting in a racing simulator that has been build from the ground up for Virtual Reality.
The game is licensed by Nintendo and has been developed by Bandai Namco. When playing this fast-paced race game you are given the opportunity to throw actual items like banana's and shells while driving against others.
VR-Zone makes use out of HTC's Vive puck trackers that take care of the hand movements ingame. In Mario Kart Grand Prix you can play as Mario, Peach, Luigi, Toad or Bowser. Hopefully they will add more characters in the future.
