Alex takes a look at the new Nexus 5. This is Google's new flagship phone, and it's running Android 4.4 KitKat for software. It's a rather unassuming 5-Inch slab from the front, but the back has large Nexus branding across it, along with a rather large camera lens that protrudes ever so slightly. The back is soft touch plastic which extends around to the sides and it feels solid in your hands. The Nexus 5 is just a bit taller, thinner, and wider than it's immediate predecessor. The soft touch plastic means you won't get that shiny look that the Nexus 4 had, but it also won't go sliding away, or scuff up as easily. This phone runs a Snapdragon 800 with 2GB of RAM, and it a very fast device. There isn't any expandable storage, but you can choose between 16GB or 32GB of expanded memory. A fixed 2300 Mah battery, and has G wireless charging support. When it comes to camera you have an 8MP back camera and a 1.3MP front facing camera, and it seems to be a good camera at first look. The screen is a 5-Inch 1080p display, and it's a substantial improvement over the Nexus 4.
