The NASA probe that flew by the Pluto system in 2015 captured imagery of Kuiper Belt Object (KBO) 1994 JR1 in April 2016. By studying the light reflected from the KBO, the New Horizons' team was able to determine that it rotates once every 5.4 hours. Also, by combining imagery taken of the space rock in Nov. 2015 with the new images, they were able to narrow down its exact location to within 1,000 kilometers (about 600 miles). -- Destination Pluto: New Horizons Mission in Pictures:
