Pro's
- 5.8 Ghz FPV system. FPV monitor is removable from controller if desired.
- Great range of about 100 meters for both FPV and quadcopter's controller. FPV transmitter includes circular polarized cloverleaf antenna.
- Very stable in low rate, very maneuverable at intermediate rate.
- Good power and steep pitch make this quadcopter very fast at its highest rate. Maximum pitch at high rate is close to 80 degrees, causing me to at first think that this quadcolpter may have incorporated Horizon Mode (it's not).
- Reasonably tough. It withstood several high crashes during this review, and still runs fine.
- Does not require FAA registration.
Con's
- High rate also includes autoflipping when battery is near full charged.
- The quadcopter's camera can not record video directly to the camera. The camera's SD card slot is empty. This restricts the ability to record true 720p video from the camera's image sensor. Instead video recording is of received FPV video through the FPV receiver screen.
- Default recorded video is 640 x 480p resolution. Although recording can be set to 1280 x 720p, the resulting video at this higher resolution appears to be interpolated from the lower 480p video.
