- Mutton dum biryani is an all time favourite dish that can be served for various occasion with onion raita and salad by the side.
Ingredients:
500 g basmati long grain rice
500 g mutton
2 1/2 medium size onions
120 g fresh well beaten yogurt
6-7 green chilies or as per your taste
1 1/2 tbsp ginger paste
1 1/2 tbsp garlic paste
1/2 tsp back pepper powder
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tsp salt
1 black cardamom
4 green cardamom
6-7 cloves
1 star anise
2 inch cinnamon stick
120 m oil
FOR RICE:
1 tsp caraway seeds
4 green cardamom
2 tbsp salt
2 inch cinnamon stick
2 bay leaves
2 tbsp oil
FOR BIRYANI LAYERING:
1 pinch saffron(optional)
1/4 food color
2 onion fried
mint leaves
pure ghee 4 tbsp (optionall)
