Adam from demonstrates a 2.5 Km autonomous flight using the 3DR AERO. This aircraft can be outfitted with various camera payloads for mapping, reconnaissance and search and rescue. The AERO can stay airborne for up to 2 hours with the right battery combination. Controlled by the 3DR Pixhawk flight controller, the AERO is a very capable UAV but easy enough for the beginner to learn on.
