In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local,
self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-
like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live
speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a
small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx,
where x = independently organized TED event. The TED
Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but
individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain

2.    Massimo Banzi is an interaction designer, an educator and a
supporter of Open Source Hardware. He is the co-founder of
project Arduino. He started the first Italian FabLab/Makerspace in
Turin where “Officine Arduino” were created. He spent 4 years
teaching as Associate Professor at the Interaction Design Institute
of Ivrea (Italy). Massimo Banzi is the author of the book “Getting
started with Arduino” published by O’Reilly. He collaborates with
the Italian edition of “Wired” and “Che Futuro”.
