Dean Newton presents his brand spanking new single on the Magik Muzik imprint: "Phazin".
It's great to hear that Dean keeps developing his sound with every new production he delivers. "Phazing" is an exciting new addition to his output, one that comes close to modern progressive house. There are clear references to trance, especially when we listen to the attractive theme, played by uplifting and crisp synths. The clubby beat programming and the continuous variations in which the overall melody is played keep the whole track fresh and attractive and lead us all to one of those old skool breaks that's perfect to lift every voice on the dance floor, screaming "Tune!".
George Acosta did the South Side Mix for this package and re-created the original all over again. The eighties style beat programming in the bridge and break give it a nice, say Miami Vice kinda twist and the stabby, up beat use of a chasing synth stab when the original theme is not playing are guaranteed to keep the party going. Dean Newton's "Phazing" is another slammer for this season!
