How to Make Old Fashioned Rice Pudding: Deep South Meso Style

There are things that are southern but then again there are things that are termed "deep south." Deep South, means, "it don't get no more southern than this." In a land where everything is either custard-ed, parfait-ed, candied, jellied, cobbled, frittered, flambeed or fried we cannot forget "the pudding." In the south pudding is gonna mean it is, at it's base, thick, sweet, creamy, milky, thickened with flour, cornstarch or eggs. Right at the top of the pudding list you're gonna find the "rice pudding."
Rice Pudding
8 Cups Cooked Rice (Long Grain or Jasmine)
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
1 & 1/2 tsp Vanilla Flavoring
1 tsp. Rum Flavoring
1 tsp Lemon Flavoring
3 beaten Eggs
1/2 stick Butter
1 1/2 tsp. Vanilla Flavoring
1/2 tsp. ground Ginger
Nutmeg
Allspice
1 cup Raisins
1 cup Coconut Milk
1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 cups Milk
1 cups Sugar
Mix all ingredients together in large bowl. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
No matter if you live as far south as Texas or Georgia or as far North as New York or you might be in California on the West Coast or anywhere in-between or around the world ….. you’re gonna love this!
