Buy it on Amazon - (affiliate link) - Panasonic has a new and very light weight 1080p (30) action camera. It's lightweight and very mountable but could really benefit from stabilization and a 60fps capture mode.
Its best feature is the form factor - The A1 is more comfortable to wear due to its weight and as a cylinder it might be more mountable. It also has the ability to shoot in darkness in a night vision mode provided an infrared light source is available.
But it's not perfect. In addition to lacking 1080p 60fps recording it has only a 35 minute life to its non-removable internal battery. It'll take more than three hours to charge to get back to that very minimal recording time. There is a $100 external battery pack available but that pushes the price point to competing cameras with better battery life and frame rates.
