Во время первомайской демонстрации в Тбилиси в 1965 году отец Гавриил Ургебадзе сжег огромный портрет Ленина. Его могли расстрелять, но спас диагноз "психопатическая личность, верит в Бога и ангелов". Он проповедовал на улицах и площадях грузинской столицы, а во дворе своего дома из подручных материалов построил маленький храм.
