SU-26M is a very light 3D / aerobatic airplane. It's 30e size (1,25m wingspan), but weights only 1,2 kg (with all electrics mentioned below).
Powered in this video with following electrics:
DualSky XM3548CA-4T 390/650 W
DualSky 60 A ESC NEW
DualSky 2600 mAh 35/60C 3s1p 11,1 v, 2C charge
I am using VarioProp variable pitch 3-blade propellor. Now with 12 inch blades I am using 6 inch pitch. With this setting I get 500W (49 A) at full throttle. Giving this light plane a whopping 450W per kilo power to weigh ratio. It climbs vertically with half throttle. 3-blade proplellor is giving good speed control and SU-26 is going almost the same speed vertical up or down.
Very nice plane to fly. Stable and can be flown very very slow. With HUGE control areas it's perfect for 3D aerobatics. Also I love the paint scheme on this one. Not only does it look very nice, but has very good contrast and it's very easy to tell at what position the airplane is in the air. VarioProp sounds very nice too (especially when making low passes without throtte), making this airplane my all time favorite.
I've been flying this with 1900mAh to 2600mAh batteries, which give 10-15 minute flight times. 2200 to 2500mAh 11,1V is perfect size for this airplane, but the batteries have to handle at least 50A currents (25C minimum). This is a very light airplane and you really don't need 3000mAh+ batteries with it.
The ARF set comes with glassfibre 3D horns (for servos and control surfaces), I used Hyperion DS-11 SCB Digital servos (4 pcs). The set also has some new innovations like extra cooling ducts for the motor, air outlet from the rear of the fuselage. Locked canopy (besides the magnet holding), for extreme 3D (I've lost a canopy from one airplane as the magnets didn't hold it in Knife edge flying).
I am using FlySky 2,4 Ghz 8ch radio and the airplane has EagleTree eLogger installed to measure amps, battery voltage and used mAh. I'll install a GPS module later to log flight path, speed and altitude.
