Tools/Supplies:
Electric or stand mixer
3 X 9” round pans lined with parchment paper
Rubber spatula
Small offset palette knife
Piping bag fitted with a #825 star tip
Rolling pin
Ziploc bags
Chef’s Knife
Ingredients for Buttercream:
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large egg whites
1 pound unsalted butter, room temperature
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Ingredients for the Root Beer Chocolate Cake:
2 cups root beer
2 cups unsalted butter
1 ½ cups dutch process cocoa powder
4 cups all purpose flour
4 cups sugar
1 tablespoon baking soda
1 ½ teaspoons salt
4 eggs
1 1/3 cups sour cream
¼ cup red candy melts
Add your favourite movie night goodies! I used:
