The texture of the bombay halwa is determined by the consistency of the mixture(sugar) and the cooking duration. Generally the bombay halwa takes around 20-30 mins of cooking in a low flame. The halwa is flavored by adding cardamom powder and is made attractive using food colors (optional) and roasted nuts.
