Wake Turbulence encounter - POV - Flying

Ride along as I take a friend up for her first flight in a small airplane on a very calm evening.
Unfortunately we hit wake turbulence on final approach, so the flight does not go perfectly. But she is a good sport and forgives me :)
I should have planned a steeper approach to a point further down the runway to clear the wake of the Dash-8 ahead of me (and there was also prop blast from one that take's off just before I land), but I was not thinking and just flew a normal approach, as I was concerned about how she was doing as she remained clearly anxious for the whole flight despite how crazy calm the air was.
(She later told me the calm air and my smooth flying was part of the problem as she didn't feel anything was supporting the plane and thought we'd fall out of the sky at any minute :)

DISCLAIMER: I am a "weekend warrior" private pilot, I fly for fun with no intentions of going commercial.I have had my PPL for over 15 years, but still consider each flight a learning experience - I generally take detailed notes after each flight to remind myself what went well or what I could do to improve....
