Oz - Beautiful EP (2016)
RIP Oz aka ZigSixteen.
Not long before our beloved friend and spiritual brother Oz passed away we had set about creating some songs together. It was a long held ambition finally coming to fruition.
I had always felt that Oz, one of the lead vocalists and producers of Electric Conversation, should record more solo material as he had such a unique and beautiful feel, his vocal delivery so reminiscent to me of George Duke. I believe we truly captured Oz’s vibe with these tracks which are unfortunately the only songs we managed to finish before his heartbreaking untimely passing. Oz was excited, inspired and extremely proud of this project, looking forward to its release with Futuristica and so we are now carrying out his wishes in the hope that we honour his memory and spirit in so doing. Personally, this project has been one of my musical highlights as a producer for many reasons - the main being the opportunity to work so closely with Oz, a remarkable human being who was deeply loved by everyone who knew him.
