Pork Belly Burnt Ends are tasty, tender cubes of porky goodness. Who doesn't like Pork Belly? This is an easy recipe for making Pork Belly Burnt Ends on the Yoder YS640 but can be made on any kind of BBQ. Its simple to do and kicks out awesome results, give it a go.
Ingredients
- 4LB or 2Kg of Pork Belly (Skin Off)
- 1/2 cup of your favourite rub - I used Mad Hunky Sweet Heat
- 1 cup of your favourite BBQ sauce - I used Blues Hog Championship Sauce
Method
- Remove the Pork Belly Skin if not already done
- Cube up the pork into 1" or 25mm cubes
- Apply a liberal coating of rub and place onto a mesh rack
- Smoke for 3 hours at 250f
- Put the Pork Belly into a foil tray with
- 1 stick Butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 3 Tblsp of honey
- Cover over the foil pan with a sheet of foil
- Cook for another 90 minutes at 275f to 300f until tender, around 200f internal
- Pour out the butter broth
- Pour a cup of your favourite BBQ Sauce over the Pork Belly, in a foil pan
- Coat thoroughly
- Cook for a further 15-30 minutes, depending upon doneness
