Greetings! We are now closing in on Christmas Day and I have had several people write and ask me if I had a recipe for an overnight breakfast casserole that they could throw together on Christmas Eve and put in the oven on Christmas Morning. Easy right? RIGHT! Some people even referred to the movie "The Family Stone" with that great scene where Sarah Jessica Parker's casserole never made it to Christmas morning. Ours will!
Super easy and you can decide if you want to let it sit in the fridge overnight or just on the counter for about 30 minutes. At the minimum you should let this soak up that custard for 30 minutes. At the longest, I would not leave this without cooking for more than 24 hours.
I hope this helps everyone who asked. Remember, make this one your own! Use bacon or sausage, change up the cheese, add some other veggies, no problem. This is a blank canvas waiting for your signature!
I hope you try this and I hope you enjoy this and as always, Happy Eating and Merry Christmas.
