The world's largest radio telescope has started operation in SW China's Guizhou Province, a project which could help detect extraterrestrial life.
The telescope, known as FAST, was first brought online in July for trial observation. Researchers said that during a recent test, it received a set of data from a pulsar about 1,351 light-years away.
