Lisa Gade reviews the Amazon Fire Phone, available in the US on AT&T. This is Amazon's first phone, and like their Fire tablets, it runs Amazon Fire OS 3.5, a heavily customized version of Android. The Fire Phone has the Silk web browser, email, PIM applications that can sync to Google and other sources, Kindle, Prime Video, Prime Music, Audible and little carrier bloatware. The Fire phone is available with 32 or 64 gigs of storage and it has LTE 4G on AT&T's network, dual band WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, NFC, a GPS with GLONASS and stereo speakers with Dolby audio. It runs on the quad core 2.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU with Adreno 330 graphics and 2 gigs of RAM. The Fire phone has a very pleasing 1280 x 720 display that's very bright and it has 3D perspective using 4 front cameras to determine your viewing point. Other features include FireFly, MayDay tech support and of course easy shopping on Amazon. It's $199 on contract for the 32 gig model and $650 without contract.
