It's comfortable and feels similar to the original Microsoft version with one notable exception - the size of the control sticks.
For some reason they decided that the sticks need to be different than the original Xbox One controller (even though everything else feels about the same) and as a result they are much larger and feel very different. This is especially true for gamers who have logged a lot of time on the original controller. The result is less precise movement primarily because there is not as much room to move the analog sticks. It's definitely a love it or hate it kind of thing. And while I understand the need for going with a wired configuration to hit the price point, the cable should be a little longer than 9.8 feet.
Those gripes aside this is a good value for what it offers. There are four programmable buttons on the bottom of the controller that can be mapped to buttons on the front. This can be helpful for gamers looking for a little bit of an edge when executing a complicated move. Note that these are not macros, sequences can't be programmed. It's just a one-to-one mapping.
There are some LED lights on the front of the controller as well. Nothing exciting but it's possible to put a splash of color (more than just green) on the control sticks as well as the center of the controller.
