The phones makers state that the rare minerals used inside the Fairphone 2 have been sourced responsibly. It makes better use of recycled materials, and offers a minimalist look and feel, reducing environmental impact when the time comes for it to be retired.
Will the Fairphone 2 something you'd want to use in 5 years? unfortunatley it only has a Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM, specs that were good around 18 months ago. This is a mid-range phone with an 8MP camera.
