“Pocahontas” is one of the most controversial Disney princesses. Some say she promotes negative stereotypes. Others argue that she brought awareness to an entire generation of people. No matter how you feel about the film’s representation of indigenous people you have to admit Pocahontas is an awesome princess. Her story has it all. She was fought over by two handsome men, John Smith, and John Rolfe. She has an epic bestie in Nakoma. She became a mother and was a killer ambassador for her people. She has two of the cutest pets on earth. Her food obsessed Meeko is a total cutie. Her rescued pug Percy is just as cute and loves chowing down with his BFF. This Powhatan princess is unstoppable. She’s such an incredible peacemaker that she can turn Thanksgiving into a celebration of gratefulness and family and put it’s less attractive past to rest.
