This is a great value for the price, especially for gamers looking for refresh rates beyond 60hz. This inexpensive budget priced display runs at 75hz which should allow for slightly faster frame rates (75 vs. 60) over similar displays I've reviewed at this price point. But its 7ms response rate is slower than dedicated (and more expensive) gaming monitors so there will be a little more ghosting during fast motion scenes.
Like most displays these days it has very thin bezels that reduce the overall bulk of the unit and might make it appear smaller than similarly sized displays from a few years ago.
Image quality is sharp and crisp although I do wish the display was slightly brighter. As we are all getting a bit spoiled by our "retina" high dpi displays on phones and tablets things will look a little more jagged on the display when sitting a few feet away.
The display has a matte film on it that makes it less reflective but comes at the cost of image quality. Similar to what I've seen on other matte displays at this price point it adds a slight cloudiness to the image but greatly reduces reflections from lights and windows.
It sits fairly stable but lacks a vertical adjustment, only a tilt angle up or down. It unfortunately lacks a VESA mount for using alternative brackets.
Couple of other minor gripes:
1. There are no speakers but audio will pass through your computer to the display's headphone jack. If your sound stops working be sure to re-route the audio output to your computer speakers.
2. The plug is the weirdest thing I've seen. It's configured backwards and makes it awkward for power strips.
3. They broke up the otherwise nice aesthetic with a bright orange cable management thingie.
4. Only a single HDMI input. VGA is also included.
But on balance this is one of the best monitors I've tested at this price point - especially for gamers looking to go beyond 60hz.
