Whenever a local place pops up under the radar that deserves praise, we're the first ones to tell you about it, especially since many of you locals are just around the corner from the next best place.
In the heart of North Beach, of 71st street in Miami Beach sits a small place called Monkey's Bubble Tea. We've seen the sign for a while now but North Beach is certainly an odd place to have a bubble tea shop open up. With its' roots in Asia, what is a bubble tea place doing in a former gelato in the this part of town.
Well with one taste, we were blown away. Not only is the place true to real bubble tea connoisseurs, but the tapioca pearls are done perfectly every time. One thing worth mentioning, store manage Jose has perfected the art of making these little pearls of happiness, that he won't sell you a bubble tea unless they have gone through the 2.5 hour process.
Besides their bubble tea, they have some great crustless sandwiches called Tostaditos that come in pairs for 3.80 or you can have just one. Their bubble tea sells for 4.50 and their milk tea sells for 5.50.
If you're ever in the area of Normandy Shores where Normandy Drive meets 71st Street on the east end, be sure to stop by this place and enjoy one of their perfectly made bubble teas. This is NOT a paid advertisement. This place is just so fantastic that people from all over from near and far make a trip to enjoy these perfectly made beverages.
Enjoy and you're welcome!
