Fujifilm X-H1 Review (vs X-T2, Sony a7 III)

We've been testing the Fuji X-H1 for 3 months in the real world, with more than 3,300 frames and plenty of video recording experience. It's a great all-around camera. The sensor stabilization was MUCH needed. The focusing is quick and accurate and the video quality looks great. Fuji's lens lineup is spectacular, especially the 16-55 f/2.8 and 50-140 f/2.8, which are our main lenses.
In most ways, the X-H1 solidly beats all Canon and Nikon APS-C DSLRs, including the Canon 80D, Canon 7D Mk II, Nikon D7500, and Nikon D500. The electronic viewfinder, sensor stabilization, 4k video, and eye-detection autofocus are GAME CHANGERS.
However, in many ways, we like the X-T2 better. The X-T2 just feels better in our hands, and we prefer having the exposure compensation dial on the top, rather than another display. However, the X-T2 is lacking sensor stabilization, which we've found to be incredibly useful.
Unfortunately for Fujifilm, Sony launched the a7 III shortly after the X-H1, and at the same price point. Actually, once you add the grip (which you need for the X-H1), the Fuji camera is more expensive. However, the a7 III has a sensor that's more than twice as big, and shows less than half as much noise. Availability of fast full-frame lenses also means you have more options for the a7 III, especially if you love background blur and low-light performance. We also preferred the a7 III's battery life, focusing, and video quality.
