These are delicious, quick and fool proof they are great baked or fried.
Ing:
3 lbs ground beef
1 tsp olive oil
1 tbsp garam masala
1 tsp salt to taste
1 tsp Kashmiri red chili pepper
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1 tbsp lemon pepper
1.5 tbsp fresh ginger and garlic
1.5 tbsp chili garlic sauce
1 egg
2 bread toasted so its crispy (trim the sides)
4 tbsp fresh chopped coriander
1 cup bread crumbs
2 eggs whisked and seasoned with salt and pepper
Method:
Brown the ground beef and empty it in a colander to drain of the excess water. In the same pan add the oil, once hot add the ginger and garlic as well as the chili garlic sauce cook for about a minute and add all the spices so they fry up a little then add the ground beef and cook this mixture for about a minute or until you feel that the spices have infused well in the meat. Set aside to cool, once cool empty this mixture in a big bowl and add the egg, crushed toast and the fresh coriander, mix this really well and transfer it to a food processor and pulse it a couple times, this will make the process really easy to form them into kabob shape. Follow the video tutorial that shows how to fold them. Roll of them and keep them aside, dip this in the bread crumbs and then in the seasoned egg mixture, throw this in oil and fry them till they are golden brown. Start taking them out and put them on a paper towel to soak up the extra oil.
This can be served with my delicious red chutney and or tamarind chutney.
Enjoy!
