Decades after Snow White, the first Disney animated princess was introduced on the big screen, the company is still churning out new royals. In fact, princesses are one of the things Disney is known for.
Its princess characters are etched in our collective memory and beloved by fans everywhere. Like many Disney movies though, the source material behind Disney’s most recent princess stories isn’t as innocent as the movies it inspired. In this video, we’re exploring the surprising origins of the five most recent Disney princess movies.
