In this video I'll show you how I built a motorized RC FPV (First Person View) flying wing from a Maui Sky Riders "Walmart" foam chuck glider!
COMMENT BELOW your thoughts and questions about this project!
*******PARTS LIST**************
Here is a list of parts you'll need for this project. Some of the parts are not the EXACT item that I used (control rods, battery), but are given as a reference for the required items. Feel free to ask if you're unsure of what to buy!
Buy from Walmart:
*Maui Sky Riders Glider* (there are similar versions of this glider being made (like Sky Raiders), but this one I've found only at walmart)
*MOTOR*
*PROPELLER*
*ESC (Electronic Speed Control)*
*SERVOS*
*SERVO CONTROL RODS*
*BATTERY*
*My FPV CAMERA*
(this is the one I have. You'll need to buy/make a cable adapter to connect to the servo lead, OR simply connect the to cables directly (which is very simple to do with basic soldering skills). I have not yet been able to find a reasonably priced camera that comes with a servo lead type cable.)
*My TRANSMITTER (Tx) (AKA "Radio")*
*RECEIVER (Rx) to go with Tx*
*My FPV GOGGLES*
OTHER STUFF YOU"LL NEED:
- A way of powering your FPV camera from your receiver, perhaps with a servo lead extension ()
-Foamboard can also be purchased at Dollar Tree
-Packing tape
-Hot glue gun
-Hot glue sticks
-Rubber bands
