Hey guys! We’re back in the kitchen but this time we’ve been challenged to cook up a delicious Sticky Ginger Pudding with Sour Apple Centre and Salted Caramel sauce. Recipe-
For the Pudding-
170g chopped dates
150ml boiling water
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
2 tsp instant coffee
2 tsp ground ginger
3/4 tsp bicarbonate of soda
85g butter softened
140g caster sugar
2 beaten eggs
170g self-raising flour
Apple centre-
300g Bramley apples, peeled, cored & cubed
50g caster sugar
a little water
Calvados salted caramel sauce-
170g soft brown sugar
110g butter
6 tbsp double cream
a pinch of salt
30ml calvados
To decorate-
Ice cream
fresh blackberries
Bake at 170ºC for 25 mins.
