No, he wasn't named after the classic Irish whiskey. Yes, he is country as hell. Mississippi native and Nashville resident Jameson Rodgers was initially celebrated for his songwriting cred, having helped pen tunes for Florida George Line and Chris Lane. But these days a growing legion of fans know that he's pretty darn impressive being in the spotlight himself. From open mic nights around Music City to a pair of critically applauded EPs with strong tracks such as "Midnight Daydream" to being part of Luke Combs' tour, Rodgers is showing country music his stuff right now. And his stuff is strong. Earlier this year we caught him at the CMA Fest, and he delivered a sweet version of "Some Girls." Now we've invited him to NYC to update that one for DSCVR, and give us a look at what "Like You've Been There Before" sounds like live.
