My flight test thoughts;
- First of all, these motors are amazing, we just push things to the limit, always. That's what the first test was, find a limit.
- With a small, light pitch prop, can rev from 0% to 100% too fast (fast spool time), which can bend bells on 12s at ‘high kv’ with a heavy quad (the first test)
- With a larger prop, much higher pitch and loading, can not jump to 100% throttle as quick (low spool time), so, longer time to distribute energy across each magnet and the bell (this new test)
- Very fast spool time on heavy setup can bend bells
- Low spool time is ok, still flies great
- To hit the types of spool times we get for miniquads, motors of this size need to be taller
